Universal Blastco’s specialized FRP team focuses solely on custom fabrication, installation, repairs, and inspections. The team maintains its own fabrication shop, manufacturing piping, nozzles, flanges, and custom pieces to fit your specific needs — flexible enough to prepare for planned outages and respond to any emergency your project may face.
Every project has a unique set of requirements. We work closely with customers to develop solutions that fit their specific operation — from design and engineering through manufacturing, on-site installation, erection, and maintenance.

Field Work, Outages & More

Field Work

  • Pipe repairs — assess, recommend, and complete the repair; can make repairs during active leaks with limited pressure; pipe wraps over metallic and non-metallic surfaces.
  • Inspections — thorough reporting with repair recommendations.
  • Plastic welding — Polypropylene, HDPE, PVC/CPVC, PVDF, FEP/PFA, Teflon.
  • Line breaks — hazardous and non-hazardous.
  • Relines — of tanks and vessels, including abrasion-resistant linings.

Outages

  • Manpower to accommodate large outages.
  • Ready to take on additional work identified during the outage.
  • Works around the clock.
  • Safety first, including inspections (UT testing, boroscope, core samples, etc.).
  • Scheduling and planning expertise to run multiple crews on different tasks concurrently.
  • Pre-fabricate components to install during the outage.
  • Tool trailer on-site — break room plus every tool the job might need.
  • Support for scope changes — line breaks, metal repairs, rigging, and more.

Repair Services

  • Repair of filter plates, piping, flanges, dual laminate piping, washers, tanks, vessels, sump pits, secondary containments, and liners.
  • Evaluate design flaws and recommend or complete repairs.

Filter Plate Repair / Refurbishment

  • Short turnaround and cost-effective compared to replacing.
  • We evaluate, repair or refurbish, and ship back to you.
  • Customized modifications available.

Emergency Work

  • 24/7 — ready to start fabricating in-shop or send crews to your jobsite.
  • We'll help determine a temporary repair to keep you running, or plan a permanent fix.
